I found this on our Facebook Page – this family is having an auction fundraiser to help with their adoption of a child and their friends donated a Crazy Shortcut Quilt!!
I just **LOVE** this coming together to benefit the family and the child!!!

I am a fabricaholic.
There. I said it.
I can’t throw away a single piece of fabric and I’ve been known to dive into the quilt room waste basket of others to retrieve perfectly good fabric!
I now have about 3 of these big bins of scraps. The trimmings of every Crazy Shortcut Quilt I’ve ever made including all the ones from the book, plus all the scraps from every other quilt I’ve ever made too.
I did a big clean up and reorganization this spring because I’ll be moving in the fall. Winter and I don’t like each other anymore and I’m headed for warmer climes in a few months.
That means, for me, “clean it up, use it up, or give it up” – including the scrap bin. So, I am trimming off the useable fabrics from my “trimmings” bin (and we won’t get into what I think is useable – hehehehehe). I want to make a few of those long draft stoppers and I’ll use the tiny bits of batting to stuff them with. Maybe I’ll make a stuffed animal or two for Audrey. 🙂

She chose these fabrics….I know she will love it! I had so much fun doing this and can hardly wait to get back to the one I started months ago. I promise I won’t leave a Crazy Shortcut Quilt left undone again!

It sometimes seems like I spend more time daydreaming over my decorative stitches than I do actually using them – and I use them a LOT! No matter what quilt I am making, I tend to come back to using a few stitches regularly. Here’s one of my favorites – if you looked closely you would find it used more than once on most of my quilts 🙂
What is your favorite stitch? Satin stitch? Flowers? My friend Sandra has a “crowns” stitch that I am very envious of – my machine doesn’t have that one!
Hi Quilters, if you have put off buying the big 20 1/2″ ruler but you are sure you are going to make another Crazy Shortcut Quilt, now’s the time to go get it. I paid almost $50 for mine, but they are on sale [online at JoAnn’s] for $19.99. I am thinking about buying two more! I just love these rulers and use them on all of my quilts, not just our crazy shortcut ones.

She emailed me (you know that I love email, right?) and she asked if she could use my video about chain piecing on her site. Of course I said yes, then immediately went to her blog to find out more about her. WOW!
