Hi!
Here is a photo of my first crazy shortcut quilt. I am so excited to have found your technique. My work may not be as lovely or as perfect as others’ may be, but I loved the process and can’t wait to make up an Asian Inspired one next. Thanks for your book and the inspiration and instruction it provides!

Pam wanted a small project to do, to test the technique before moving on to a bigger size – - watch for more quilts from her soon!

Joan sent this pic of her first CSCQ Quilt and she used the Shortcake pattern ![]()

“So I sat at the sewing machine and sewed the final part of the binding. I have finished my first “Quilt As You Go” quilt. I am so happy!
This bright beauty goes on my bed! The front and the back are both bright loud colors. This is really a fun quilt.”

Joanna has made two so far!
“The skinny on this method is this – construction of the squares is super fast and easy! Like fast-fast. Then you quilt the top/batting/back while still in squares – and use decorative stitches for that. Then use sashing strips to connect the squares.”
Here’s her second (first?? I am losing track!) …

The Wenonah and Boo.

Amy made a quilt for baby Brooklyn!

Pat’s first Crazy Shortcut Quilt!
I finished my very first crazy shortcut quilt. It was so much fun. I added a few cat appliques for my granddaugher.

DeannaLynn took a detour in her plans to make her quilt:
“Well I found this really great book on quilts from the library. It is Crazy Shortcut Quilts, and I absolutely love it. I decided that I love the idea so much that I might use inspiration from the book to make one or two of my Christmas list gifts. Before I dove into my expensive fabric that I bought just for those gifts I wanted to try one with the fabric that I had no use for. I found some great fat eighths that I was going to make a prairie skirt with, but I really don’t like prairie skirts anymore, so I used them. Then I had to find fabric for the backing and realized I don’t have that much pink fabric so I sacrificed with my pink and green camouflage. It is 35″ x 45″ which is fairly small, but just the right size for a lap quilt and maybe a baby quilt. I love how it turned out! I can’t wait to make more using the same style.

Laura has made at least two Crazy Shortcut Quilts and she modified the technique from the book to use on her Memory Quilt (way to be innovative, Laura!!)
